Colchester & Marlborough crews went to work during the early morning hours of 'Cinco De Mayo.' Companies arrived on scene to find 1 vehicle on its side w/ 1 pt entrapped. Crews began extricating; taking the roof, windows, & passenger door to gain access to the pt. PT was transported w/ non life-threatening injuries.

05/02 Structure Fire

CHFD responded to South Main St for a reported bedroom fire. Car 1 arrived to find active fire on the #2 floor, inside the A/B corner bedroom. Truck companies began searches on the #2 floor, while Engine 1 stretched 2 lines & advanced up the stairs. Truck 1's canman located & knocked down the fire quickly, while companies finished up the primary searches (Engine 2 located & removed 2 cat's from the #1 floor.) The fire was placed under control shortly after. A job well done by the 28.
