03/28 Structure Fire

Originally dispatched as a residential structure fire w/ victims trapped. Firefighter Szuba (who lives less than a 1/4 mile from the dispatched address) arrived quickly & was able to confirm that everyone was out of the house. Engine 1's officer requested level 1 tankers & the 2nd alarm assignments be started due to the updated information from dispatch & FF Szuba. C28 established command, while Engine1's crew stretched (2) 1¾ handlines - One to the front door & the second to the (B) side exterior - and placed them into operation. Interior crews encountered fire above & below them, which made extinguishment difficult. The fire was placed under control a few hours later. Manpower was requested for overhaul & cleanup. Thanks to all who responded!
